We had a fabulous experience with Heartwood Fence! Very fast turnaround from deposit to execution. Approximately 460 LF of existing fence disposed of and new fence installed all within 48 hours! We decided at the start of the second day we wanted an additional gate and they updated the plan immediately. Spencer bid the job, wonderful to work with! Enjoyed that it wasn’ta sales pitch like you are buying a car. Sam, the foreman, and all the other installers were incredibly professional. We are so happy with the new fence and would highly recommend Heartwood Fence. Great value and workmanship.

Read on GoogleSpencer Elliott and his team were amazing to work with on our new fence. We worked together on finding the right design and fit for our yard. They not only performed the work on a timely basis, but it was excellent quality. We had a few grading issues (our issues) and they came back to make sure we were satisfied with the results. I would highly recommend Heartwood.

Read on GoogleHIGHLY RECOMMEND! From my very first interaction with Spencer to my final walk-through with Sam, I was impressed every step of the way. The entire process was professional, smooth, and customer-focused from start to finish. At my request, they provided several renderings so I could really visualize the finished project. Ironically, the very first one ended up being the design I chose—but I truly appreciated their patience throughout the process and the fact that they checked in periodically without ever making me feel pressured. The team was responsive, attentive, and clearly committed to making sure I was happy with the final result. By the time I did my final walk-around with Sam, I knew I had made the right choice with Heartwood Fence. If you’re looking for a company that values quality, communication, and customer service, I highly recommend Heartwood Fence.

Red clay looks solid until the first heavy summer storm turns it to a slurry. We install with the drainage in mind: sloped footings, gravel bases where needed, and posts that go deep enough to stay put through a Piedmont winter.
Local climate
Mild winters, hot humid summers, and heavy pine-pollen springs. Freeze line is shallow, but red clay demands proper drainage at every post.
Soil and dig conditions
Piedmont red clay, dense and slow-draining. We auger 36 inches and slope every footing to shed water.
Permits in Greenville
City of Greenville requires a fence permit for anything over 4 feet in the front setback or 8 feet in the rear. Handled through the Land Development office.
HOA handling
Five Forks and the newer Simpsonville subdivisions typically have active HOAs. ARC handling is part of every estimate.

“The crew showed up when they said, cleaned up every day, and the finished fence is the nicest one on the block. Zero drama.”
“We got three quotes. Heartwood wasn't the cheapest but the salesperson clearly knew what he was talking about. Two years in, no regrets.”
“They redesigned the gate layout so my truck actually fits through. Nobody else even asked.”
