Wooden Fence
Cedar and pressure-treated wood fences built on site, from board-on-board privacy to shadowbox and picket-top styles.

Wood fencing, built for your yard
Wood is still the most requested fence we build, and for good reason. It gives you real privacy, it takes stain or paint, and it can be cut and set to follow a sloped or irregular yard instead of fighting it. Every wood fence we install is built on site, panel by panel, so the line stays straight and the height stays consistent from one end of the run to the other.
Styles we build
- Board-on-board: overlapping vertical boards with no gaps, even after the wood dries and shrinks. The best choice when full privacy matters.
- Shadowbox: boards alternating on both sides of the rail. It looks finished from both sides and lets air pass through, which helps in windy yards.
- Stockade: tight vertical pickets, a straightforward and economical privacy fence.
- Dog-ear: the classic clipped-corner picket, usually six feet, a common HOA-friendly pattern.
- Cap and trim: a privacy fence finished with a top cap and trim board for a cleaner, more architectural line.
- Lattice top: privacy below, open lattice above, for height without a solid wall.
- Picket and spaced picket: three to four feet, for front yards, gardens and pet containment.
Materials
We build in western red cedar and in pressure-treated southern yellow pine. Cedar resists rot and insects naturally, holds its shape well, and weathers to a soft grey if you leave it unfinished. Pressure-treated pine costs less up front and takes stain well once it has dried out for a season. We will walk you through the trade-off on site with pricing for both.
How we set posts
Posts go in concrete, below the local frost line, with the depth set by soil conditions at your property. Rails are attached to the post, not toe-nailed between them, and gates get a diagonal brace and heavy hardware so they do not sag in year two.
Permits, HOA and property lines
We pull the permit where one is required and we handle the HOA submission if your neighborhood needs approval. We also call in the utility locate before any digging. If you are not certain where your line falls, we will talk through it during the estimate.
Care
Let new wood dry out for several months, then seal or stain it and repeat every two to three years. That one habit adds years to the fence. Workmanship is covered by our written warranty.
