In Central Florida the pool barrier code drives a large share of fence work, and it is not a place to guess. Height, gap spacing, gate swing direction, and latch height are all specified, and an inspector will fail a barrier that misses any of them. We build pool enclosures to pass on the first inspection because a failed inspection costs you weeks.

The rest of the market is driven by sand and storms. Sandy soil needs a deeper set and a wider collar, and afternoon storm season means a solid privacy panel takes real wind load several times a week in summer.

Pool barriers that pass inspection

A compliant barrier means minimum height, no climbable horizontal rails on the outside face, gap spacing that a child cannot pass, self-closing and self-latching gates, and a latch positioned out of reach. We build to those requirements as standard, not as an upgrade.

Sand, water table, and wind

Sand does not grip a post, and much of the region sits over a high water table, so the bottom of a post can be wet for long stretches. We go deeper, widen the collar, and spec materials that do not care about moisture. On exposed runs we tighten post spacing so a summer squall is not pushing on an unsupported panel.

Material choices in Central Florida

  • Aluminum is the default around pools. It is code-friendly, it does not rust, and it keeps sight lines open.
  • Vinyl handles UV and humidity with no maintenance cycle and stays white instead of graying.
  • Wood privacy is still the budget path to full screening, with the understanding that Florida sun is hard on a finish.
  • Chain link is the low-cost option for large lots and dog runs.

How it works

  1. 1

    Walk the line with us

We meet you at the property, walk the fence line, mark the corners, and talk through height, style, and gate placement. You get a written number before we leave or the same day.

  2. 2

    We handle permits and locates

Utility locates, permit paperwork, and HOA submittals are on us. We confirm the property line with your plat so the fence lands where it belongs.

  3. 3

    Build, inspect, and warranty

Our crew sets posts, hangs panels, and hauls off the debris. We walk the finished line with you and back the work in writing.

Common questions

Will my pool fence pass inspection?
We build to the barrier requirements as standard, including self-closing and self-latching gates and a latch placed out of a child's reach.
How deep do posts go in sandy soil?
Deeper than the minimum with a wider concrete collar. Sand does not hold a shallow post regardless of what the material spec says.
Does a fence here need to handle hurricane wind?
Solid privacy panels take significant wind load in storm season. We tighten post spacing on exposed runs and use ground-contact rated posts.
Do you handle the permit?
Yes, including the pool barrier permit and the plat drawing. Municipalities across the region differ and we file with the right one.
